I am an American who has had the honour and privilege of living in New Zealand for the last few years. And this is where I hope to live out the rest of my life. The astounding beauty of New Zealand is incredible. I have found nearly everyone I have met and gotten to know to be extremely genuine, kind, helpful, and usually pretty happy. Even light acquaintances have been warm and friendly. I’ve also seen a fairly widespread health consciousness and care for the environment here.
We have reached an age of abundant chemical use. And these are well-marketed into the minds of people as being revolutionary, more effective and making life easier and better in so many ways. From easy oven cleaning to waterproof mascara – “life is so much better with these innovative products.”
However, look past the marketing gimmicks and camouflage and you will discover that we are being barraged with toxic chemicals. They are in our food and produce, our water, our soaps and shampoos, perfumes and cosmetics, sun screens, dental hygiene and other personal care products, detergents and cleaning products, air fresheners and more.
The average person in a civilized world is exposed to literally dozens of these chemicals every day. And some of these can be quite toxic with significant health consequences.
Living here in New Zealand, I see an abundance of these toxic products being imported from the U.S. and elsewhere. These now stock the shelves of New Zealand’s grocery stores and shops.
The kind-hearted people of New Zealand are unsuspectingly welcoming many of these products into their homes due to the deceitful marketing that accompanies these products.
Living a long and healthy life involves or relies on many factors including genetics, lifestyle, environment and more. One of those factors, a very important one, is the avoidance of toxic exposure.
Reducing exposure to harmful chemicals and other toxins can greatly contribute to improved health, longevity, and overall quality of life.
Our mission is to empower you with greater knowledge about toxic exposures AND to offer easy alternatives to replace these toxic products with non-toxic ones.
In presenting this information I have made a serious effort to stick to facts, with no exaggeration or hype, to provide greater knowledge and understanding of the what, where and how of the problem. Along with this info, we offer easy and inexpensive solutions that anyone can do. These “solutions” that I refer to will result in a greatly reduced toxic load on your body and, hopefully, a longer, better life.
Knowing what these toxins are is better than being ignorant of them. What’s even better is that it is, in most cases, so easy to shift over to non-toxic products and detoxify yourself and your environment.
In a world full of overwhelming advice and conflicting information, Clean Kiwi cuts through the noise – offering easy, practical, and inexpensive ways to reduce toxic exposure for cleaner, healthier living.
More and more chemical-based products are making their way into New Zealand homes, exposing us to some harmful toxins through our food, water supplies, personal care products, the cleaners under our sink, and more. It’s rarely one dramatic event that causes us harm. It’s the repeated, low-level exposure over time that disrupts hormones, weakens immunity, and can lead to unwanted symptoms or illnesses.
Clean Kiwi is the practical guide to changing that, protecting you and your family.
Grounded in well-researched facts, it offers simple, affordable alternatives that genuinely reduce toxic load for improved quality of life.
Real facts. Small changes. A healthier home, without the guesswork.
Live cleaner, live better, longer.
